Joe Avellar is a multiple Emmy, Murrow and AP Award winning TV and Radio Journalist and Anchor. He is currently on the air at WCBS NewsRadio 880 in NYC.
Joe is also an actor and voice actor artist. He has co-starred in Gotham alongside Ben McKenzie, in Blue Bloods with Tom Selleck, and in a yet-to-be released Adam Sandler/Chris Rock/Steve Buscemi movie, and has appeared on numerous other TV shows, soap operas, and commercials.
As a VO artist, Joe has recorded 11 audiobooks and done voice over for MasterCard, PeoplesBank, and McKinsey to name a few.
When he’s not on set or in a recording studio, Joe studies Improv at the Magnet Theatre in NYC, acting with the Love Lane Players, and voice with casting director Doriane Elliot. He is very excited to have been the voice of the Radio Announcer in The Secret Nobody Knows.
