International Influence: "i carry your heart with me(i carry it in" in Germany

The first time The Secret Nobody Knows writer/director Nick Ronan heard the poem that inspired the film was in a German commercial for Parkinson's awareness.

"I was immediately drawn to cummings words and the way this was shot. I must've played the commercial back four or five times in a row. I knew I wanted to create something that evoked the same feeling I had experienced when I first watched this. Something both sad and beautiful. A piece that would make audiences examine their own lives, past loves, the passage of time."

A year later, Ronan began work on The Secret Nobody Knows. One of the remarkable aspects of e.e. cummings poetry is its global impact and international following.
